Canberra Older People's Housing Roundtable
In June 2024, HAAG held a roundtable on older people's housing at Parliament House, Canberra, hosted by Parliamentary Friends of Housing.
The event was chaired by Fiona York and featured two speakers from HAAG, both older women, who have experienced homelessness - Vanessa and Helen - as well as researcher Professor Wendy Stone from Swinburne University, Josh Burns MP and Angie Bell MP.
While in Canberra, we met with a number of decision makers to talk about the issues for older people and housing. We also attended the launch of ACOSS's Fair Fast and Inclusive Climate Action policy launch and the Churchill Fellowship Policy Futures event
