Long-term Senior Policy in Poland: for the years 2014-2020

A senior policy for Poland. It covers all areas of ageing, including housing and age-friendly communities. An objective in the housing area is to support universal design, including the needs of elderly people. Recommendations: • cooperation with senior citizens and social organizations on the assessment of sites and public buildings in terms of accessibility for older people • public transport planning, including the needs of older people • introduce measures shortening the waiting period for service in public places (offices, libraries) • implementation of inclusive design principles at every level • promoting the construction of housing units, as well as changes in the existing one
