South Australia praised for supporting the homeless during coronavirus pandemic but long-term solution needed

Nearly 400 people — including rough sleepers — have been housed in hotels and motels across Adelaide since the Covid19 pandemic began. The SA government's ultimate aim is to get people off the streets for good. As part of its new strategy, the government is embarking on long-overdue and much-needed reform of the state's homelessness system, which will focus on prevention and early intervention to break the cycle of homelessness.
