The Victorian Government is releasing its long-awaited Options Paper, outlining ideas for reforms to the Retirement Villages Act. You can find the options paper and a useful summary at https://engage.vic.gov.au/retirementvillagesact. HAAG will be making a submission about what our members and clients want and need from this review, and we invite members who live in retirement villages to share their ideas and priorities.
The meeting will be held over Zoom from 10.30am-12.00pm on Wednesday April 14. HAAG’s Retirement Workers will talk about the Options Paper, including what’s good and bad in the paper and which parts are most important. We’ll ask you specific questions about options we are considering, and give you time to provide more general ideas and feedback. There’ll also be time for any questions you have.
You can join the meeting using a computer or just dial in with a phone. If you’re unavailable on the 14th, you can also call or email us to tell us what is important to you, and of course, we encourage our members to make their own submissions.
