Membership is FREE, and its the best way to support, keep in touch and get involved with HAAG.

We encourage everyone, including people with lived experiences of homelessness or housing stress, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, members of the LGBTI community, and people with disabilities to become members.

Organisational membership has changed to be "Friends of the Association" - we encourage donations but there is no fee, and organisations have no voting rights.

Young or old, Individual or Organisation, if you care to see that all people have access to adequate and affordable housing in their later years then get in touch with us.

We work as a group towards fair policies and laws which will provide long term, secure and affordable housing. To express your interest in joining a working group, contact the office on 03 9654 7389.

Members can:

  • Receive our quarterly newsletter
  • Get involved in our working groups
  • Have their ideas heard and actioned
  • Find solutions to Housing problems
  • Participate in Media opportunities with support from our staff
  • Attend general meetings
  • Nominate and vote for Committee of Management
  • Meet with decision makers and participate in consultations (participants are reimbursed)

Volunteer

You don't have to be a member to volunteer with HAAG, but we require volunteers to undergo police checks. If you have some time or skills you would like to offer, please contact us here.

Study

HAAG are committed to growing the Social and Community work industry. We currently accept Social Work students from RMIT university. If you are interested in doing a Social Work placement at HAAG, please contact your RMIT Field Education liaison officer.
