Inquiry into decent and accessible homes for older people

The All-Party Parliamentary Group was established to engage with the political and legislative issues affecting people in later life. As part of our work in the 2017-2022 Parliament we decided to pursue an in-depth inquiry to understand the detrimental impact of poor housing on older people’s physical, mental and social wellbeing. The inquiry looked to: -Gain insight into the unique challenges older people face in different housing tenures; - Understand the connection between poor housing standards and public health concerns; - Produce recommendations on how to improve housing for older people.
