Things Will Be Different is a documentary film exploring two neighbours’ experiences of displacement as they are forced to relocate from their Public Housing estate when it was sold for private redevelopment. The film explores the impact of losing one’s home and the important role public housing plays in our communities.

Do you worry about your housing situation and how you can make ends meet? Then come along to this information session at Corio Library to find out how people aged 50+ can access affordable housing.

HAAG’s LGBTIQA+ community educators are hosting this event for older community members to find out about housing and homelessness, and where to go for help. 

Older people need safe, secure and affordable housing as they age. But more and more people don’t have a secure place to live, or are becoming homeless. We need your help to solve this problem! We are looking for people who can help us engage with the community so that they can access our services. We will be providing a 5 week training for you to become a community educator. Through this training, you can either choose to become a bilingual educator, a community educator for the LGBTIQA+ community or a general community educator who can link older people at risk of homelessness to HAAG services.
