Membership is free and it’s the best way to support , keep in touch and get involved with HAAG in our fight for
housing justice. Members can:
- Receive our quarterly newsletter with all the latest information about older peoples housing
- Attend general meetings and other events
- Get involved in our working groups of older renters, retirement housing residents, Culturally Diverse,
LGBTQIA+, state and national campaign groups, - Participate in consultations with government and meet with decision makers
- Tell their stories to media, with support from our staff
- Nominate and vote for Committee of Management
We encourage everyone, including people with lived experiences of homelessness or housing stress, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, members of the LGBTI community, and people with disabilities to become members.
Organisational membership has changed to be “Friends of the Association” – we encourage donations but there is no fee, and organisations have no voting rights.
