Things to know
- Because lots of people call us, it can take time to get back to you, but we will.
- We can give information and advice to older people anywhere in Victoria. However, we can only provide extra support in some areas. If you need extra support and you live outside these areas, we can link you to another service in your area.
- Not everyone who needs it is eligible for Public or Community Housing. If you are ineligible we can suggest other options in Retirement Housing, but we can not provide extra support.
- We have more information about all the housing types that are relevant for older people with low incomes here
- There is a wait list for Public and Community Housing. We do not control the wait list.
- There can be long wait times for housing. Some places have less housing and longer wait times. Being flexible about where you can live can decrease your wait time.
- We do not own or manage any housing ourselves. We are not a housing provider.
- If you’re in North Central Victoria, we have a regional service specifically for your area!
